How to measure for Wave Curtains | 247 Guides
Using a metal tape measure, follow our handy measuring guide to ensure you order exactly the right size for your windows. If you have any other questions about measuring or are interested in ordering a single curtain, please call us on 01484 443790.
Wave curtains use a small track to open and close, which we include for free with every order. You’ll need to measure your windows much like measuring for a blind, so you’ll need to decide how you’re going to measure and hang your curtain.

Decide your measuring method
OUTSIDE RECESS (We call this EXACT MEASUREMENT): If you want your Curtains
to cover the whole window recess or if your windows are flush with the wall (so no recessed space), then
this is the option for you.
If replacing an existing curtain, measure the width of your pole/track and from the top of the pole/track to the bottom of your curtain. Select exact size when ordering.
INSIDE RECESS (We call this RECESS MEASUREMENT): If you want your wave curtain track to mount inside the window recess, this is the option for you.
Exact Fitting
For measuring the width, measure for the finished track width you require, as we will not take any deductions here.
For the drop, simply measure from where the top of the track will be, to where you want the bottom of the curtain to finish.
If you’re going to fit outside a recess, and you’re measuring a window size, we suggest adding an additional 15cm overlap on each side of the width.
For the drop, we would recommend extending the drop 15cm past the window. This will reduce excess light bleed when the curtain is hung.
Please note:- Your entered size will be the finished size your order will arrive at, please ensure you make any deductions yourself if you’re selecting this size.
Recess Fitting
Measure in across the width of the top of your window recess, and repeat this for the drop.
Make no deductions here, as we will automatically reduce the size by 10mm from the width, and 15mm from the drop to ensure a great fit.
If the bottom part of your recess is tiled (which is common in bathrooms and kitchens), measure the width from the tiled section, as it is usually the narrowest.
